It's based on a college, I play a college student who is for the campus. I'm not really for the church, I'm opposing it, thinking that the church is taking up space that can be used for other things, like sports or after school programs. Initially, my character is against the whole church, throughout the movie my best friend goes through some hardships and I'm torn between wanting the church there. Towards the end, you see my character change and I see the value of the church on campus. For me it was great, I am a person of faith, but for me to play that character I think it's cool for other people to see the changes in that character. I think that a lot of people who don't follow Christ will be able to relate to the character.
Prior to this I did a faith-based film called "Do you Beleive", a couple of years ago. It was a great film by Pure Flix, who are the same people who did "God's Not Dead: A Light in Darkness". They actual called me up and said there was a role that would fit me, I read the script and fell in love with it. I made time for it, because I had to be in it. It's a cool small part and I think it's very potent.
